New England Wood Pellet operates two manufacturing plants in Jaffrey, NH and Schuyler, NY, with a third plant in Deposit, NY planned for operation in late 2010. A modern fabrication and research & development facility in Jaffrey, NH provides engineering and fabrication support for these facilities as well as future ventures.

Built in 1999, the Jaffrey facility has a capacity of 84,000 tons of wood pellet fuel per year. The facility underwent significant modifications and expansion in capacity in 2008. Product is shipped bagged and bulk via a 30-ton bulk load out silo that can rapidly top-load a variety of trucks. The plant employs about 25 people in production and transportation. The plant purchases nearly 150,000 dry and green tons of wood residues each year from sources throughout the Northeast, providing a valuable market for wood waste and low grade timber resources.

Schuyler Manufacturing Facility

The Schuyler facility began operations in 2008 and incorporates state-of-the-art design and engineering innovations resulting from Steve Walker’s nearly two decades in the pellet manufacturing business. With 20 employees, the plant has a capacity of 84,000 tons/year and occupies 10 acres of developed ground. All manufacturing and warehousing is contained within a 30,000 square foot building. The balance of the plant site includes a 3-4 acre outdoor wood storage yard, including a 200'x200' covered greenwood storage structure. The Schuyler facility also includes a 30-ton bulk load-out silo. Total raw wood residue and low grade timber purchases will amount to approximately 150,000-200,000 tons per year, providing a valuable new market throughout central New York State for clean wood residues from wood product manufacturing, and for low grade timber which exists in abundance throughout New York's forest land base. The facility has convenient access to the NY Thruway, Interstate 90.

New England Wood Pellet’s newest venture is a 100,000 ton/year manufacturing plant located on the site of the former Norbord Industries MDF manufacturing plant in Deposit NY. This plant is projected to be operational in late 2010, and will employ 20 people. The plant will incorporate new innovations in design including efficient dryer gas recirculation and other modifications developed by Steve Walker. Once operational, the plant will ship bagged and bulk fuel. The facility has rail access and excellent access to NY Route 17 (future Interstate 83). A large onsite warehouse is currently being used to store thousands of tons for shipment into the Deposit market.

Facility is currently under construction, opening in 2010.
