Norwood H. “Woody” Keeney III

Norwood H. “Woody” Keeney III first became aware of wood pellets in 1992.  At that time he was Assistant Director at the (New Hampshire) Governor’s Office of Energy and Community Services and had the opportunity to attend a conference and coincidently met Steve Walker who had recently founded New England Wood Pellet.  Little did he know at the time how much he would come to know the wood pellet industry.  Since 1999 Woody has been employed by New England Wood Pellet and has handled sales for the company and, now, specifically is concerned with sales within New England.  With those years he has gained a deep perspective on the industry and events that have shaped the world of pellets.  He particularly enjoys the people who are part of the industry and interacting with the constantly changing dynamics that shape the heating season.

Woody is a native of New Hampshire and has a B.A. degree in architecture from Rice University, Houston, Texas. He is the recipient of an award by the New Hampshire Association of Chimney Professionals and granted honorary chimney sweep status (1994) and a national commendation given by the Chimney Safety Institute of America (1995). Woody has served on the board of directors for the Northeast Hearth, Patio and Barbecue Association and the Jaffrey, NH Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, Woody is a licensed New Hampshire real estate agent affiliated with Historic and Distinctive properties.  When not watching oil prices or tracking tons of pellets coming off the conveyor belt, he might be hiking, gardening, playing badminton, dancing or travelling.
